Despite many RVs being well insulated against heat and cold, an air-conditioning system is often vital for climate control if you’re travelling in hot countries – and its unexpected breakdown can put a real damper on your comfort and enjoyment. LAS is highly experienced in the servicing, repair and installation of both water evaporative and refrigeration cab and roof-mounted air-conditioning systems. Air-con systems require regular maintenance to ensure they perform efficiently and reliably, especially roof mounted units which are susceptible to corrosion and debris accumulation. In addition, the presence of refrigeration coolants in some air-con units can prove hazardous if not maintained properly by qualified engineers so it’s vital to make time for regular checks before you travel. LAS include cab air-con checks as a standard part of servicing; however roof-mounted systems take longer to check so please make a separate appointment when you need your roof air con checked. Please note: There are two types of refrigerant gas; R12 and 134a. Don’t be lead into believing that the early R12 systems need to be converted to run on 134a. We can replenish an R12 system with a substitute gas, which will save you a lot of money. For more information about air-con repairs and installations
