No matter what make or model of RV you own, LAS can provide comprehensive servicing, repairs and engine diagnostics and we guarantee all of the work we do.
This includes the steering ball joints, universal joints, idler boxes for excessive movement and steering dampers for oil and gas leaks. Then the suspension ball joint, kingpins, wheel bearings and spring eye bushes are checked if applicable. LAS then moves on to check the tightness of chassis bolts and anchor points for the body.
When this has been completed the air brake system is checked for leaks, operation and moisture (where applicable) and fluid brake hoses, metal brake pipes, master cylinders and callipers are checked for leaks and damage. LAS then will check the lights, wipers, horn and washers and hydroscopic value of the brake fluid.
After this is completed the road wheels are removed and the brakes are de-assembled inspected, lubricated and then re-assembled, checking the tyres, wheels and tyre pressures while the wheels are removed.
LAS will then change the fluids, filters and grease the vehicle, the axle oil level is checked, anti freeze strength adjusted if necessary and the locks and catches oiled. Battery electrolyte levels are checked where applicable and terminals corrosion protected. LAS then move on to service the generator, fridge, water boiler and heater.
The gas hob and oven if applicable will be checked as well, checking for any gas pressure reductions so as to detect any small leaks the system might have, as well as checking for damp problems inside the vehicle. The roof seals are also checked on our service.
NB, A motorhome however heavy it might be has then same MOT as your family car (Class 4). LAS inspect your motor home to a higher standard than the MOT due to the fact a lot of safety issues are not checked as they are not present on a class 4 MOT e.g. has your car got air brakes?
